Welcome back BBs! So in case you forgot, I just wanted to remind you that… I LOVE SHOPPING. SO. FREAKING. MUCH. About two-ish weeks ago, Sephora hosted their annual VIB sale and your girl picked up a few items. Honestly, I find it absolutely crazy how people would go nuts over discounts of 10, 15, or 20%, when in reality, it isn’t even that great of a sale. But, I can’t blame them since Sephora never goes on sale and I’m actually one of those crazy people to be quite honest. I’ll take that extra 10,15, 20% off over zero discounts, let’s be real.
If you want to know what I picked up during the sale, keep on reading and make sure to watch the YouTube at the top on the post!
1. Huda Beauty Coral Obsessions Palette
I absolutely LOVE the Huda Beauty Obsessions Palettes collection. It’s such a compact, travel-friendly, and practical palette. I purchased the Warm Obsessions last sale and I knew I had to grab more from this collection. The coral and peachy shades in the Coral Obsessions Palette are so summer, although that was soooo last season, I still wanted to pick this one up. This palette retails for $35 at Sephora and despite the small size, I think it’s totally worth it. There’s nine shades and if I can do math properly, it rounds out to about $4 per shade, which isn’t half bad. There’s seven mattes and two shimmers and guys, the shimmers are so pigmented! My favourite shade is definitely the mustardy yellow though, it’s just so pretty! Although, I have to say, the red and the yellow do swatch a little patchy, but I mean it is harder to make bright colours creamy, but hey, some brands can do it.
2. Benefit Precisely My Brow Pencil
This one’s definitely one of my holy grail products, so I picked up three to make sure that I’m stocked up until the next sale! I love how thin the applicator tip is, which allows you to fill in those sparse areas and draw in feather-like strokes to imitate real hair strokes. It’s also got a brush on the other end for you to brush out your brow and on-the-go convenience too. The formula is the perfect balance between pigment and wax to ensure that you don’t end up with them chola eyebrow and the colour lasts all day. One con that I should probably state is that the product runs out pretty quick and it is quite pricey for an eyebrow pencil so you might want to consider that if you’re balling on a budget.
3. Tatcha The Silk Canvas Protective Primer
Tatcha’s The Silk Canvas Protective Primer has been talked and raved about by many bloggers and influencers on the Internet and so I thought I’d hop onto the bandwagon and try this one out. As I’m aging, well I’m actually not even that old, but I’ve noticed that my pores are getting a little larger and I do see some lines on my face now. So when I wear makeup, it looks great for the first few hours, but then it ends up sinking into my smile lines for example, and I’m hoping that this product will resolve that. I don’t have much of an opinion on this product since I haven’t used it yet, but one thing that I can definitely tell you guys is that this primer is pretty pricey ($62), so I’ll definitely update you guys on whether I think that it’s worth the splurge!
4. Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Hawkwind
I swear by the Kat Von D’s Everlasting Liquid Lipstick formulas. They are so good. I have quite a few shades from the collection and I can’t be more obsessed. It’s not budge-proof, but it’s definitely long lasting and comfortable. It’s got pretty good coverage and it wears nicely throughout the day, so when it fades, it fades pretty nicely and you don’t end up with a part of your lip colour missing. I’ve been wanting the shade Hawkwind for a while, but they always get sold out during the sale since it is relatively a newer shade, so I’m so happy that I got my hands on it this time round. The Sephora website describes the product to be a nude sienna, but I honestly don’t know what that means. I just think its a darker nude, which is perfect for the fall and winter seasons. So excited to have this lippy in my collection now!
5. Beauty Blender in Sapphire
I’m sure the Beauty Blender is not an unfamiliar beauty tool for most of us. If you don’t know what this is, you probably live under a rock. It’s pretty much a expensive sponge, but it’s super soft. It gives you flawless finish to your base and the shape gives you the perfect control to get into areas like your under eyes and around the nose. I currently have the nude one and it was getting old so I wanted to pick up a new one during the sale. As I as browsing on the Sephora app, the reviews were saying that this is the best version of the Beauty Blender. Apparently, different colours have different textures, I didn’t know that! So a lot of reviews say that the sapphire one is the softest. I have yet to use it, so I will definitely update you guys on this!
6. Stila Shimmer and Glow Liquid Eyeshadow in Kitten
My last and final product is the Stila Shimmer and Glow Liquid Eyeshadow. This was a hit when it first launch and as usual, I’m late to the bandwagon. So here am I now, many seasons later. First, can we please talk about the packaging?!?! How cute is this. I’m a sucker for cute packaging and this product totally won me over. Aside from that, I’ve heard so many good things about this product so I can’t wait to try it out for myself. I’m also trying to experience more with different eye looks like cut creases so I think this product will come in handy.
I pick up the shade Kitten and on the Sephora website, it says that it’s a vibrant nude pink. I definitely see the pink, don’t know if its vibrate though… looks a little bit of a mix of champagne to me. Either way, I love the packaging, the colour and I can’t want to bat my eyes and blind all the haters out there haha!
Alright, that’s all the products that I’ve picked up from the Sephora VIB sale a few weeks back! Let me know what you guys picked up from the sale if you bought something too! If you’ve made it this far, thank you so much for reading and checking in this week! I think posting every Monday will work for me so definitely be sure to check back in next Monday. I hope you have an amazing week whenever you are in the world!
